Apparently, I am driven to experience and express. Thank ________, I have a choice what to experience and express to an extent. I choose to amplify truth in its natural way.
I play saxophone and sometimes I amplify it with an old vox pickup,(like Miles used) running through a battery of old stompboxes. The effect is startling and unbelievable. Listen for yourself.
I record as much as possible outside with a Zoom HD 4 multitrack. I record and transform 'natural sounds' by slowing them down several octaves and reversing them. John Cage, Jimi Hendrix and David Lynch have done this.
Doing this takes a sound that we think we know and morphs it to a sound that we cannot believe. This process puts these sounds in your ear in a wonderful way that strecthes the brain,(it's okay, there space in there).
I write, make pictures, and run myself onto the ground of mountains and woods. I always carry camera and often recorder.
I play on many CD's by Grassy Knoll, Overdriven Cultists, Space Available, LoudMouth and Backstep Forward.
Currently I play in clubs with LoudMouth and out in the woods with Coyote Crew. More later more.
